Iwata used the unveil to close his keynote speech at this week's game Devolopers Conference, so the anouncement was short on details. The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks is a tentative title and will see release this year.

Iwata confirms new Link episode for Nintendo DS. Most people were expecting a Wii title. But I am sure this will be an awesome game. Now this game has been sceduled to be released this year we don't know when. Satoru Iwata is lifting the lid on Spirit Tracks, a new hanheld adventure for Link and co. The new role-player will boost the same touch controls from Phantom Hourglass; offering an experience that existing Zelda fans will relish, but also be accessible to new DS users.
